I could be wrong but I though that the only true way to get a free credit report was IF you have been denied an account from a company based on your credit report that they saw. They are supposed to give you a letter %26amp; that is what you have to provide the crdit reporting company in order to get it free. Any time you are denied you can get a report to see why.
