I recently joined Careone Credit to pay my cc bills? Is this looking bad on credit report now?

If you try to get a home loan it will look bad. Because most Lenders question the ability of you to handle your own finances. They think that if you are not able to handle your own finances, you won%26#039;t be able to handle a mortagge payment. Most Lenders will require a period of a year out of the program in order to approve you for a loan.

Most of company, as it mentioned one of the people that posted comments, reports on your credit that %26quot;accounts are being managed%26quot;. Consequently, a lot of Lender (specially Prime Lenders) will question this, and will require you to wait a period of a year or more.

One thing that I can tell you for sure they are charging you for a service that you can do yourself. If you refer to Experien, TransUnion, or Equifax (three major bureus) website you%26#039;ll find everything you need to do it yourself. I work for a mortgage company and the only time we charge the client for credit fixing is when we have to do rapid rescore. Rapid rescore is when the credit report company sents updated information about the clients accounts to the bureus and they update within a week. But if the client is not in a rush to fix their credit we use the normal procedure.

It depends on exactly what Careone Credit is doing?

Most of these companies just write letters in to the bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax, Experian) to remove items. You can do this very easily on your own for free.

Some of these self-proclaimed credit repair companies actually try settling amounts owed with creditors. Many times I have seen these show up on credit reports and unfortunately many lenders look at debt consolidation companies the same as if you filed a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.

I have been a member of CareOne for about 9 months now. I%26#039;ve seen on some of my credit reports, it depends on the site I see it on, will say that the account is being paid or has been paid as agreed and others will say that the account is being managed.

Some lenders consider debt counseling as a step away from filing for bankruptcy, but not all. And I think it is better than settling, because you%26#039;ve agreed to pay all of your debt, not a fraction.

Eventually, when the accounts are closed, lenders will see you have paid your debt off. Some may not extend all the credit you apply for due to the fact that you had help, but it won%26#039;t make a difference to others.
