Can I run a credit report on someone who is buying my home?

Absolutely not, unless you specifically have his written authorization.

The link below will answer more of your questions on the first page.

Yes you may do that before you accept the offer. You can also make them pay for the credit report.

are they buying thru a realtor? are you selling your home with a realtor? if so, chances are they have to be prequalified before they offer. tell them you will only accept an offer accompanied with a prequalification letter or approval letter from the buyer%26#039;s lender.

if you%26#039;ve already accepted their offer, then you should speak with your realtor regarding the contract.

I have no problem running it for you!

You can run it - as long as you have a borrower authorization - allowing you to pull it - Or have them pull it (it is free, once a year) and have them show it to you. Is this a For Sale by Owner, a Land Contract. If they have financing already - than why are you wanting to pull their credit - the mortgage will be the Lenders responsibility - It can not come back on you, if they default (just curious)......
