Where can i find a credit report without using a credit card?

You are entitled to view your credit report for free under the law. Many sites have disclaimers that you must sign up for some monitor service. You don%26#039;t need that. The site below is legal and free and without %26quot;strings%26quot;

Where can i find a credit report without using a credit card?

Same law applies, for Transunion Equifax and Experian, you can get all three credit reports without paying anything, you cann do this once per year without charge at www.annualcreditreport.com for more information also log into www.bettercreditcontrol.com

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

and all the other sites with that catch phrase.

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

this is the one that is free, as required by federal law

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i...

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

to ascertain your identity

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

They shouldn%26#039;t. You are being taken in by one of the credit report monitoring services ... like www.freecreditreport.com. You have to dig a little deeper to get the freebie you%26#039;re entitled to.

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

Because they have to know the card number to test your card

or because they will end up billing you. Either one.

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

They should not ask for a credit card number. It is free once a year or anytime after you have been denied credit to purchase something. Do not give out your credit card number at all.......

If you can get your credit report for free, why do they ask for a credit card number?

hey

Why do they say "Free credit report" then they want a credit card. are they going to rip y

Yes, they are a rip off.

Go to the Federal Trade Commission%26#039;s website and use the link there, then you know it%26#039;s the correct spelling.

%26quot;The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) advises consumers who order their free annual credit reports online to be sure to correctly spell annualcreditreport.com, or link to it from the FTC閳ユ獨 website to avoid being misdirected to other websites that offer supposedly free reports, but only with the purchase of other products.%26quot;

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

that would be a yes

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

They%26#039;re selling their product. They offer the %26quot;free%26quot; credit report to rope you into buying their product.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

They are going to sign you up for a subscription that will automatically debit your credit card unless you jump through all their hoops within the first couple of weeks. They will make it difficult to find out how to cancel and you will end up paying for a full year subscription.

Good Luck

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

probably. i would avoid it. if you need a credit report contact the three credit bureaus

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

They want to sign you up for a %26quot;credit monitoring service%26quot;.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Yes

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Most states have laws where you are to get one free credit report each year from each of the credit reporting agencies... Other then that, don%26#039;t listen to those companies who promiss something free..........

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Its a free credit report (when you sign up for....)

You are signing up for a subscription on those sites.

Federal law says you get a free credit report from each of the credit bureaus each year.... those are really free, and do not require a credit card.

www.equifax.com

www.transunion.com

www.experian.com

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Usually you get the first one free but what they do is start charging you every month to send you any inqueries that are made to your report. You can get the one free but make sure to read carefully and cancel or they will charge your card every month.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Well yes they are. It also put a hit against your credit! But new laws have came into effect that you are aloud one free credit report a year per credit reporting agency( there is three) Trans-union, equifax, and experian. You can go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and get a FREE credit report from all three w/o giving your credit card info. Hope it helps.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Most likely they do rip you off. Anyway, why do you want to know in the first place? If you pay your bills when they are due, then you probably don%26#039;t even appear in any report. In addition, they ask you all kinds of personal financial questions. Why would you discuss your financial

situation with a credit report institution.

I say : It%26#039;s a scam !

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Each person gets one free credit report each year. It can be found at free annual credit report .com. The difference is the word annual, otherwise you get directed to the site that charges you and makes you become a member first.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

Sort of. They%26#039;re going to sign you up for a service on an ongoing basis, and charge your card for the service if you don%26#039;t cancel.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

You can get one annual free credit report from each of the three main reporting agencies from www.annualcreditreport.com . It is a calender year btw, so if you get one in October, you have to wait until October of the following year until your next free one. One suggestion is to go to the website, apply for one of the agencies%26#039; reports, then four months later check another one, repeat. That way you can check several times a year (chances are the three companies will vary slightly in their content).

If you go to a website that offers a free credit report, it is usually with the enrollment of their credit monitoring program. Usually, the first 30 days are free before they charge you. Before the annualcreditreport.com was available, I used to go to these sites, sign up, get my report, wait 2 days then call and cancel my enrollment (no charges). Just make sure you call and cancel your enrollment or you%26#039;ll be paying!

I belong to a credit monitoring program called www.mycreditinform.com . It%26#039;s about 5 bucks a months and I get a quarterly report plus a credit score check anytime I want (only from equifax). Plus they have a 1-800 number that you can call and talk with a credit specialist about disputing things on your credit report. They also have sample dispute letters on their webiste for members. I%26#039;m very happy with it.

oops...one more thing. If you get denied credit for any reason, you can receive a free credit report from each credit agency within 30 days of the rejection. Just contact each agency.

Why do they say %26quot;Free credit report%26quot; then they want a credit card. are they going to rip you off?

The only truly free reports are at http://AnnualCreditReport.com

ACR was set up by the big three credit reporting agencies in the United States, to furnish free annual credit reports, as required by federal law.

What credit company does GEMB/PCR stand for on a credit report?

I %26quot;think%26quot; GEMB is the finance arm of General Electric. GEMB is the source for many private label credit cards like Walmart %26amp; J.C. Penney. I%26#039;m not sure of PCR.

What credit company does GEMB/PCR stand for on a credit report?

I had GEMB come up with my JC Penny Credit card. I suppose PCR stands for Private Card R???

What credit company does GEMB/PCR stand for on a credit report?

General Electric Merchants Bank?

When i get my personal credit report does that count as a inquiry on the report?

No, it is considerd a %26quot;soft pull%26quot; so it does not affect your credit. You can pull your credit report once per year for free (no credit card required) at www.annualcreditreport.com

When i get my personal credit report does that count as a inquiry on the report?

It does count as an inquiry but it does not affect your FICO score, the only inquiries that affect your FICO score are when you apply for things (loans, credit cards, etc) ....businesses have a right to check your credit with a permissable purpose due to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is a good idea to check your credit frequently...remember you get 3 free credit reports per year....one from each credit reporting agency ( Experian, Trans Union, and Equi Fax). You might also want to think about credit protection, this way you will be informed of any changes to your credit immidiately.

When i get my personal credit report does that count as a inquiry on the report?

no you get to look at your report once a year, if more than this it will show up, but looking once a year is a freebie

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

If you max out your card and pay them on time your score will be low

your balance needs to be a maximum of 30% (of your limit) and paid on time to recive 100% positve feed back from credit cards.

If your cards are maxed out and you pay them ontime you will have bad credit in most cases.

I had a 540 credit score with no mortgage perfect auto and credit card payments and all cards maxed out

Paid off my credit card and score whent over 700. Keep your balances low.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

over time

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

Keeping you credit cards off at less than a 50% balance shows that you can maintain and handle credit. It is better for you to pay them off so that you don%26#039;t have to pay interest.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

Either will not reflect poorly on a credit report. What DOES reflect poorly on a credit report is not making your payments on time.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

Payment over time is better

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

its better on ur credit report to pay them off over time aslong as ur not right on the edge of credit limit, keeping the amount on the card at a reasonale level and paying it over time would work best

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

Paying over time and keeping payments on time.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

paying them off.

but it doesn%26#039;t work as a one-off thing.

a credit report is a history of your payments, not a snapshot of where you are in the present.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

About the same as long as you are never late, I personally usually pay the full amount and mail it the next day after I get the bill. When I do occasionally make payments I send them the next day after bill arrives.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

pay them off in full every month if you can afford it. You don%26#039;t want to pay interest.

I started using a new credit card at 0% and have only been paying the minimum since it%26#039;s 0%. my credit score went down maybe 20 points. you don%26#039;t want to use all your credit limit. pay a much as you can, unless you are doing like me and keeping the money in savings instead until the rate goes above 0%.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

Paying over time. Keeping a small balance, at least less than 1/3 of your limit. Then pay them off within a 3 to 6 mo period.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

As long as your balance is under 20% and your payments are on time you will get the results your looking for.

If you don%26#039;t use your cards and pay them off the card company could cancel your cards.

So keep the under 20% and pay the full balance each month for best results.

What looks better on your credit report? paying your credit cards off or making payments over time?

AT NO TIME IS KEEPING A BALANCE ON A CREDIT CARD GOOD FOR YOUR CREDIT!

The %26quot;over time%26quot; theory only applies to having the account for an extended period of time.

One of the largest factors (right behind timely payments) in calculating your credti score is your debt ratio.

Anyonen telling you to keep a balance on a card when it could be prevented prabaly works for a credit card company.

What appears worse on your credit report? A few debt collections or a single credit counseling servi

The credit conseling servie would looks worse on your report, while the debt collections are hurting your score. At least with the collections, you could negotiate a %26quot;pay to delete%26quot; and get them removed in exchange for paying the account off.

What appears worse on your credit report? A few debt collections or a single credit counseling service?

I went through credit counseling, and from experience, I can tell you that creditors look at credit counseling as being worse than bankruptcy. I don%26#039;t know why, and I don%26#039;t think it makes any sense since with credit counseling you are trying to make it better, but I have been told that from numerous creditors. So I think having a few debt collections looks better than a credit counseling service. Hope this helps! And good luck!

What appears worse on your credit report? A few debt collections or a single credit counseling service?

My niece is a loan offer and she states that they HATE to see credit counseling notations on credit reports.....I%26#039;m not saying you shouldn%26#039;t use this service....Just be warned that if you do...I don%26#039;t think you%26#039;ll be getting any loans for big ticket items like mortgages and car loans...if you do they%26#039;ll be at exorbitant interest rates.

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

I am trying to get a loan and this is the cause for rejection.

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

It seems hard to believe that you would be rejected for a loan for a credit card that is in good standing (if it is closed you can%26#039;t be late on payments). I would probe to find more info on your rejection because it is unlikely the card causing it.

As far as the reason for it showing up there are two options:

1. You looked at a credit report form a %26quot;credit monitoring%26quot; company - one that charges you a monthly fee to see your report. They VERY rarely update your credit report sometimes only once every 6 months, even htough they %26quot;scan%26quot; it for activity every day. I would suggest getting a report directly from the bureau.

2. The company never reported the card closed... Give them a call.

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

I think it stays on your credit report for 5 or 7 years.

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

If you had bad credit in the past it can be as long as 7 years for it to come off the report. You might try contacting the credit card company and see if they will drop it from the report, but it is unlikely that they will. Good luck. I%26#039;m in the same boat myself.

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

Your use of that account is still a part of your credit history, and will remain so for up to 7 years. If there%26#039;s a mistake you can contact the various reporting bureaus and have it removed, but if it%26#039;s something legit then tough luck, shoulda paid your debts.

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

Straight up let be real now...the card is kept on there for a reason...its for them folk to tell whether or not you is credit worthy or a deadbeat payer...any kind of credit good or bad is reported to them and they keeps it on there for 7 years...except for court stuff like bankrupt or chapter don%26#039;t ever be taken off..

Why my credit card still appear in my credit report after closing it a long time ago.?

Lines of credit continue to show for 7-years from the date of last activity. If this is really the reason that you were turned down? Your pay history must have not been very good or you closed it with a outstanding balance that is still showing up.

O.B.T.W. the previous post is wrong bankruptcy%26#039;s drop off your credit after 10-years.

When inquires on credit report drop off or deleted will my score go up and if so how much?

No not really, inquiries only show for 24-months and only affect your score for 6-months.

When inquires on credit report drop off or deleted will my score go up and if so how much?

Yes it will go up.. If you want to find out how much I%26#039;d go to one of the major credit bureau sites (equifax.com, transunion.com or experian.com). Some have services where if you order a credit report, you can also see what would happen to your score if you pay off accounts, bring accounts current, close accounts, etc.

When inquires on credit report drop off or deleted will my score go up and if so how much?

Bank of America has a credit watch program where they%26#039;ll let you use a program online to see what would happen to your score if you change things in your report.

I used it and it seemed to me that one inquiry didn%26#039;t really detract from your score all that much but three or four would knock about five to ten points off. I%26#039;d imagine once they come off, that much would get added back on. Of course you gain points from paying your bills on time so it%26#039;s kinda hard to tell.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

Every hit raises a red flag. You can get a copy for yourself once a year, free, under the government Web site

www.annualcreditreport.com

Every American can get one copy of the three reports every 12 months but there is no score, just the report.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

No, every hit on your credit report will affect it.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

I work for a mortgage broker and initialy my broker will pull credit on the client, then we print it up, Once we get ready to submitt it to the lender we send the copy of what we pulled, If the lender repulls after we send a copy yes it will lower your credit score.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

The only ones that are not recorded are those that you %26quot;do not%26quot; give permission.

Any creditor can get those, hence, %26quot;pre-approved%26quot; offers.

Effects are negative if you approve many.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

I work in this industry and all kinds of lenders can pull your report as long as you are in the purchasing process and eventually when you settle on the loan they will all be combined into 1 inquiry. Lenders recognize that youa re in the process so your score is not effected, however if you decide to not go through with the purchase then all of those inquiries will remain and you can dispute inquiries off of your report.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

When you apply for a loan of any kind, your credit report is available for the lender through the credit agencies.

If you had been delinquent in payments or late charges, and they see that it can hurt you.

It is upto the lender to grant you credit on that basis.

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

i think that if u pull your own credit report it will not affect your credit score, if its mortgage company i think a very little chance, a car loan, a little chance too, but if its credit card it will hurt your credit score for not less than six months

When a lender pulls your credit report, can another pull it without hurting your credit?

Every hit lowers your credit score, but it is taken into consideration if you have multiple hits because you are applying for a car loan or a home loan.

Can I get a credit card with a judgment on my credit report?

The good news is that yes, you will be able to get a credit card from some lender. The bad news is that it will probably be a secured credit card (meaning you put down a deposit such as $500 and they give you a credit limit of $500), with a high interest rate of around 24%+.

If you do decide to go this route then check with a reputable site such as bankrate.com to compare different credit cards:

http://www.bankrate.com/brm/rate/cc_home...

You may even find a company willing to extend you an unsecured card. Beware of the restrictions and finance charges though, they can be outrageous.

Can I get a credit card with a judgment on my credit report?

yes you can. Try tribute

Can I get a credit card with a judgment on my credit report?

Probably, assuming you don%26#039;t mind a very high interest rate (21%) or a secured card. (Open a savings account for $500 and they will give you a $500 line of credit.)

Can I get a credit card with a judgment on my credit report?

anyone can get a credit card, to reestablish credit, some credit card companies offer %26quot;secured%26quot; cards, which require you to open up an acct with their bank and provide a deposit from which to charge against, but if you don%26#039;t pay your bill, they can penalize you, and in some states non payment lets the bank close your account and sieze the money in there even if it far excedes the bill, and they can continue to bill and penalize you even though they took your money

Can I get a credit card with a judgment on my credit report?

Nein. Don%26#039;t try to get in any deeper.

Does any one know if there is a form that I can use to report good credit?

I need to report good credit to the credit bureaus. I would rather use a form letter, so I get it right. Thanks.

Does any one know if there is a form that I can use to report good credit?

I think you%26#039;re misunderstanding the process. You don%26#039;t report your own credit to the bureaus, your creditors report on YOU to the bureaus.

Does any one know if there is a form that I can use to report good credit?

I am just responding your old question about %26quot;carrusel de ninos%26quot;. It was about maestra Ximena and bunch of kids. One of them was real fat. And there was also a very cockie blond girl. To make it short, it was a mexican production from TELEVISA. Sorry this answer came 6 months later.

How long will a closed credit card stay on my credit report?

7 years it is considered negative. Your should never close a account. It is shown as not good on your credit reports. They take it as if you didn%26#039;t trust yourself to have it.

When a paid delinquency on your credit report reaches the end of it's five years, does it just

A paid delinquency will be removed from your credit report 7 years from the date you made your last payment.

When a paid delinquency on your credit report reaches the end of it%26#039;s five years, does it just dissappear?

Well that is going to depend on a few different factors. First it depends on of the balance was paid in full or not. If it is paid, then it will fall off of your credit report in 7-10 years (Not 5 like you mentioned). Also it depends on the date of the last update the creditor made a change. (IE. if your made your final payment on Jan 1st of 2000, and the company reports quarterly, then their last update would have been on mar 31st 2000, so it officially may not fall off until Apr 1st 2010. Now thats if it is paid in full or your settled with them for a smaller ammount. If you still owe them money, then the collections process can go on for several more years. I hope this answers your question.

Would having multiple addresses hurt my credit report?

Even though multiple addresses cannot hurt your overall credit score having a single long term address shows stability. Loan officers and underwriters look at many determining factors to approve a loan. Stability can be one.

Would having multiple addresses hurt my credit report?

It won%26#039;t hurt you credit score but a mortgage co. might inquire about the adresses when refinancing or buying a home.

Would having multiple addresses hurt my credit report?

no, you should update your address on your credit report when it changes

Is it illegal to run a credit report over and over without authorization?

I believe so, yes. You must give authorization for someone to make a %26quot;hard%26quot; inquiry on your file, where they see everything. %26quot;Soft%26quot; inquiries, where credit card companies sniff to see if they want to issue you a preapproved offer, don%26#039;t require your authorization and they don%26#039;t show up as inquiries on your credit report.

Is it illegal to run a credit report over and over without authorization?

IT depends on what you mean by %26quot;run a credit report.%26quot; Hard inquiries (attenpts to obtain debt) can only be initiated by you. Soft inquiries may show up as PRM (Promotional) or AR (Account Review) and do not affect your credit score. Companies with a permissible purpose may gain access to your credit report (soft inquiries) without your permission, unless you opt out by calling (888) 5-OPT-OUT.

Is it illegal to run a credit report over and over without authorization?

It depends on exactly what you are are trying to do.

If someone pulls a persons full credit report, %26quot;Hard Inquiry%26quot; without their knowedge or approval then even 1 time is illegal and that person/company will get into serious trouble.

There are situations where they may have %26quot;implied authorization%26quot; such as when you go in to a car dearship and fill out a loan application. They will generally submit your name to several banks, when you sign the authorization with the dealer this gives the other banks authorization to also pull your report.

There is another level of Inquiry generally known as %26quot;Soft Inquiries%26quot;, these are done by companies that you currently have an account with those Pre-Screened applications. These do not need prior authorization

What does null mean on a credit report?

Small steps like paying your bills on time and using only part of the credit available to you. Also use your credit cards for making small payments regularly, so that it is reflected in your credit record. More tips available at http://www.acreditlibrary.com/buildcredi...

What does null mean on a credit report?

Voided.

What will show up on your credit report if you have short sale on your house? Will it be negative ?

It depends on what you negotiated with the lender. It may be that they released you from obligation after the short sale and it will only show the loan paid off. Then again they might hold you responsible for the remaining balance as well. Or they could just send the IRS an income report for the difference.

Basically, it really depends on what you negotiated with the lender.

What will show up on your credit report if you have short sale on your house? Will it be negative ?

A short sale may be viewed as loan forgiveness or a loan settlement and not paid in full. Moreover it may be viewed as unpaid debt which is considered income by the IRS.

the site is www.annualcreditreport.com. it will not spit out a tri-merged report, so be prepared to go into the individual sites of all three bureaus. you will also be asked some security questions to verify that it%26#039;s really you, so you might want to have a credit card number or other account number handy.

you are allowed to pull the report for free. if you want your scores you will have to pay for them.

you can pull it once per year...meaning once every 365 days, not once per calendar year.

hope that helps. good luck!

What is the REAL free annual credit report site... the one run by the government...?

The web site is www.AnnualCreditReport.com

It is not run by the government, it is run by the 3 credit bureaus TransUnion, Equifax and Experian after a government ruling that everyone had the right to obtain their credit report once a year.

If you wish to use this website wisely I suggest you obtain one credit report from TransUnion in April, Equifax in August and Experian at the end of the year. This way you got your 1 credit report annually from each one of the bureaus and you kept track of your credit report through out the year.

How can I retrieve a free credit report?

Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com

This is the government mandated site where you can get your credit report from the 3 credit agencies absolutely FREE -- it won%26#039;t even ask for your credit card number

Do not go to freecreditreport.com -- the %26quot;free%26quot; credit report is just a carrot they will dangle and give if you subscribe to the credit monitoring system. Annualcreditreport.com has none of the trickeries and there are no fine prints to read

Use AnnualCreditReport.com to get copies of your 3 reports once per year for free. No need to sign up for trial programs.

Getting your score will cost you some extra. Make sure you are ordering the FICO score. If it doesn%26#039;t say you are ordering FICO, don%26#039;t buy it, as it%26#039;s the only score that means anything. The 3 credit bureaus have decided to try and implement their own scoring system, but nobody else uses it, so don%26#039;t buy it by accident like I did one time.

How much does it cost to order your credit report from each of the credit bureaus with and without the score?

you are entitled to one free report from each of the 3 agencies every year (without score) (and without having to subscribe to credit monitoring service) - to one with score - about $10-15 each

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

Actually, it depends upon who is responsible for the reporting. To be honest, usually bad checks are reported to checksystems, a system banks check to see if you had any past problems when you open a new bank account. It really depends upon the creditor that you wrote the check to. If they are someone who reports to the credit bureau, they can report.

However, since passing a bad check is technically a crime and all DA%26#039;s that I know have a %26quot;bad check%26quot; division to prosecute and collect on these matters, I would be more concerned with the person taking it to someone to prosecute criminally v. just reporting to a credit bureau. Consequences of writing a bad check can be much worse than some note on a credit bureau.

Then like the others, there is also the collection agency reporting, IF the creditor turns it over to an agency.

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

YES i was a fraud victim and that was one of my problems.

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

Of course they do.

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

If they go to a collection agency, yes they do.

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

no, but if your get on check systems then yes

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

No. But if it happens too much and you maintain a negative balance the bank will charge off the account. This means that they take the loss and close the account. When this happens you get reported to checksystems and it is very difficult to open a new account at any bank in the country.

Do bounced checks reflect on your credit report?

only if they are collected through a collection agency. otherwise, it will just be reflected on your report with Scan or Telecheck

What happens when I order a credit report are creditors notified?

Creditors are not notified. The request does go on the credit report and can be seen by a creditor who reads the report. I can%26#039;t imagine why they would care.

What happens when I order a credit report are creditors notified?

No.

What happens when I order a credit report are creditors notified?

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

I am calling them each and asking to negotiate a payoff... what should my goal be to have it 100% removed, paid as agreed, or a settlement? Which is going affect my score the most?

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

I worked in collections for a while and my credit was pretty bad for a few years too. They said that it looks better to pay off the entire debt than to settle, so each tax season, I would get my return and pay off each debt fully one-by-one. It took me a total of 3 yrs to do, but it%26#039;s so worth it! I%26#039;m now debt free and I was able to buy my husband a new car for Christmas w/ the loan in my name only! Woo-hoo! Now for the next 2-3 yrs, we%26#039;ll be doing to same thing for my husband%26#039;s credit and also building it back up. I%26#039;ve allowed myself 2 credit cards only and I make sure I double the min. pmt due. That way, if there%26#039;s a month that I can only make the min. pmt, it%26#039;s not that big a deal. It%26#039;s a pain in the butt and an extremely long process, but it%26#039;s definitely worth it in the end. Good luck!

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

if they are close to 7 years or older it is pointless to pay them. write or call the oldest to have them removed.

the ones you should pay can be negotiated. pay the most recents first.

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

either way..as long as it is showed that you no longer owe them it will still be the same on your credit report. the best thing to do is get everything paid, and then get a credit card and pay it off completely each month. that will help raise your score the quickest. it takes 7 years for a negative report to clear off so they will stay on there for a while. just get anything delinquent paid off and then focus on building a good account. that%26#039;s what worked for me and my credit is great now. it didn%26#039;t take very long either.

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

You can negociate it, or work out payments in some cases. The goal is to pay off as much of your creditors as you can. Every thing you pay off will help clean up your credit report. Even if you pay $10 or $20 a week to each one, just showing you are trying is good faith. Good luck!!

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

first i thing you must speak with someone, i went thought the similar problem also on loan officer to me to pay off and close the account, and now that i have a different loan company she telling me once i pay off the account don%26#039;t close it. also please don%26#039;t let them know your intention e;g trying to buy a house, car or whether because there wouldn%26#039;t make any arrangement with you their will try to get you to pay off all

I am trying to fix my credit report and have a lot of collection and charge offs....?

I too was in this situation not so long ago. The bad reports will not be removed from your report for 7-10 yrs. The good news is that by negotiating a settlement with each of your creditors, they should report the account settled and paid in full. Then you need to get 2-3 revolving accounts, like a credit card, or furniture payment and pay the payments on time. Above anything your credit accounts need to be paid on time. Even one day late will turn into the snowball of late fees and then over the limit fees which is probably what got you where you are today. Buy a tank of gas on your card each month and pay it off. Not using the cards does not show that you are trying to rebuild your payment history I did this with everyone I had a negative repoir with and paid all of the bad debt off (using my tax return)(now is the perfect time of yr). Have a goal. Mine was to purchase a new house. It took me 11 months to be able to qualify for my dream house. We moved in 1/5/2007. Learn to think about your purchases. If you want something, go home, give yourself a day or two to decide if you really want it, and you will see that your goal is more important. I am an impulse shopper so when I don%26#039;t have the money for something, those cc are burnin%26#039; a hole in my wallet. So that brings me to my next point, don%26#039;t even take them to a store with you. Soon by following these steps you too will be on your way to a higher credit score. I raised mine about 47 pts in 11 months...you can do it too...GOOD LUCK!!!

How do I dispute credit items on my credit and log in identity theft to my credit report?

I have had so much trouble with identity theft the last few years. I have not been able to get a home or a car. I know there has to be a way out there to get some of those older items deleted isn%26#039;t there?

How do I dispute credit items on my credit and log in identity theft to my credit report?

Ahhh.....if it was only as easy as KH says it is.

If it was that easy, they wouldn%26#039;t have had to pass the Fair And Accurate Credit Reporting Act a few years ago.

The reason you are having problems is because you don%26#039;t know the law. So let me try and guide you through this. I%26#039;ve been there, and have helped many others do it.

The links you need are below, just read up.

It%26#039;s very important to keep accurate records of you you write/talk to, send all letters certified mail/return receipt, and FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES!

The key is to remember this: There are only two ways a negative item can be removed from your credit report.

1) The creditor must remove it

2) The creditor fails to respond to a dispute investigation from the credit bureau.

So you can cuss and scream all you want at the credit burear, it%26#039;s not their fault. They only report what creditors tell them. What you have to do is first dispute this with the CREDITOR/COLLECTION AGENT.....then if it%26#039;s still being reported sue them.

Suing them for violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act is easy to do. It%26#039;s a small claims suit that only costs $25-$50, does not require a lawyer, and if you win you can win civil damages of $1000 plus whatever damages this report has caused you (loss of credit, higher interest rates, etc....).

Look at it as winning the lottery. I won $1200 because a collection agent wanted to be a jerk about an incorrect report, and it cost him!

If you need help or advice contact me. I%26#039;m not a lawyer or credit counsoler, just someone who has been down this route.

My friend told me to dispute them b/c most creditors won%26#039;t reply and they will come off???But they are legit so can I really dispute them???

I have 6 negatives on my credit report...?

Section 611 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act states that when a charge on an indivduals report is disputed, the credit reporting agency must verify the disputed charge within 30 days. It doesn%26#039;t matter if the negative item is valid or not, it has to be verified. If it cannot be verified, it must be deleted by law.

You should try to dispute them, then if they are verified you should contact them all to inquire about the debt. How do i clean up my credit report of all the negativity after things are paid off?

You can%26#039;t, derogatory accounts continue to show for 7-years from the date of first delinquency.

This is why it%26#039;s called credit history.

In most cases this works out to 7-years and 180-days.

How do i clean up my credit report of all the negativity after things are paid off?

Really you can%26#039;t. Once it%26#039;s been satisfied it will stay on the credit report as satisfied but for 7 years. The credit bureaus may be able to remove it but the companies that reported it won%26#039;t.

How do i clean up my credit report of all the negativity after things are paid off?

How do i clean up my credit report of all the negativity after things are paid off?

Depends upon the negative report, who filed it and such. Usually negative reports once paid and verified will be removed from your report.

However it is not the responsibility of the reporting agency to do so, it is supposed to be done by the collection company once payments have been completed.

If you paid by agreeing to a lower settlement amount, then it will drop your score and stay on report for 7 years.

If you see anything on your report that you know has been paid but still is showing as a collection account, you can contact the credit reporting agency and ask it to be removed.

I have provided you a link on this info from the FTC.

How do i clean up my credit report of all the negativity after things are paid off?

1) I would dispute with each credit bureau as not my account.

Be persistent, if they were in the negative they are not helping you anyway. That%26#039;s why I recommend you to dispute and seek to get them deleted. It may not be overnight but if you dispute as not my account you will eventually get it deleted from your account.

2)Debt/ratio is on your side as far as fico scoring. Try to get some Credit cards for people with bad credit. Do not use over 20%

percent of your limit. After three months of paying on time you will see your score rise slowly.

I would go to creditboards and read the forums they have.

Persistence on your behalf is the best way to accomplish your goals.

May God Bless you.

What does this mean on my credit report?

Under %26quot;Transunion%26quot; it says ---

Collection Accounts: 1

Balance: $83.00

Current: 0

Delinquent: 0

Other: 0

that was along with %26quot;installment%26quot; accounts, %26quot;revolving%26quot; accounts, and %26quot;real estate%26quot; accounts... What does this mean?

What does this mean on my credit report?

Looks like there was an $83 balance that was not recorded as being paid and was turned over to a collection agency. That takes it off the books so it does not show up as delinquent anymore. Not good. It is too small for the collection agency to bother calling you so you never know it is there.

I would contact the company from which it came. You may have to do this through the collection agency.

I had this happen for a $33 charge. The company had an old address and I never got the bill. Darn near cost me getting a mortgage. I contacted them and it was pretty easy to straighten out.

What does this mean on my credit report?

It means you have one account in collections for $83. Look further in your report and you should find the creditor.

I%26#039;ll second that about old addresses.

Be careful when you move. I think it%26#039;s best to call all credit companies a couple of times a month for a few months to make sure you received all mail.

What is FRDF/CBSD on a credit report?

Have you applied for a loan at a furniture/appliance/electronics/etc store? The name before slash (FRDF) is the store, and the latter (CBSD) is the credit issuer (I think this one is Citi Bank).

What is FRDF/CBSD on a credit report?

It is Zales. From your credit report, don%26#039;t just use the acronym, copy the address and paste it in to a google (or your favorite) search.

After a bankruptcy comes off you credit report, does it raise your score? if so by how much?

It doesnt raise your score... you have to rebuild it.

After a bankruptcy comes off you credit report, does it raise your score? if so by how much?

Yes it does. Everyone is different, and the amount depends on any other positives/negatives you have on there. But I estimate anywhere between 50-75 points.

After a bankruptcy comes off you credit report, does it raise your score? if so by how much?

You can visit www.cashguru.info and find very useful tips and several articles on credit related matters.

After a bankruptcy comes off you credit report, does it raise your score? if so by how much?

It doesnot raise your score. To raise your score you have to be careful and pay your bills on time. You can also consult with a credit repair agency some non profit ones.

To know more you can visit

http://www.creditcardbiz.blogspot.com

and

http://www.debtconsolidationmanagement.b...

After a bankruptcy comes off you credit report, does it raise your score? if so by how much?

Yes, it does raise your score, but no one can tell you how much....you%26#039;ll have to re-pull your credit to find out.

Credit card companies do not release any information regarding how the credit score is calculated. That is proprietory information that they do not publish and is not available to the general public.

Remember that there is a difference between having a bankruptcy %26quot;discharged%26quot; and %26quot;coming off your credit report%26quot;. They are not the same thing.

Also, lenders will hold you to a higher standard of having a perfect payment history than someone that has never had a bankruptcy...if the bankruptcy still appears on your credit report (which it will for 10 years AFTER the discharge date).

Subprime lenders will loan on anything and jack the rate up through the roof...what you want to do is get your credit in a position to be able to go with an A-paper lender for premium rates.

After a bankruptcy comes off you credit report, does it raise your score? if so by how much?

Yes it will, but it takes 10-years for a discharged bankruptcy to drop off your credit so the impact that it will have coming off will not be near as much as when it was added.

I would guess 45-75 points maximum depending on how you have re-established your credit after the discharge.

What does "derogatory Items" in your credit report means??? serious answers only pls thnx!

In layman%26#039;s terms what derogatory item means is that something that wasn%26#039;t paid as agreed and now it happens to report on your credit. Here are some examples:

Collection- Account that has been delinquent for some time and has been sent to a collection agency

Foreclosure- This applied to mortgage owners when the mortgage has not been paid and the mortgage company %26quot;forecloses%26quot; on the house usually meaning a long drawn out eviction of sorts in which the house becomes available on the market.

Repossession- This applies to auto owners. Basically when you fail to pay your car note, the loan company sends for someone to physically take the car away from you. Normally, in order to get it back, you have to pay the remainder of the note in order to get it back, providing they haven%26#039;t sold it already.

Judgement- this is when either a creditor or collection agency has filed a civil suit in a court of law in order to get the money that they%26#039;ve been trying to collect from you. This can stay on your report for a longer time than the other items.

Bankruptcy- This is when you basically say that you%26#039;re not able to pay your bills and you throw in the towel. There%26#039;s 2 types of Bankruptcy, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. Chapter 13, stops collection attempts for the most part, and allows the debts to be repaid in 5 years and it lasts for 7 years. Chapter 7 bankruptcy only lasts for 6 months, but it stays on your report longer (10 years)

What does %26quot;derogatory Items%26quot; in your credit report means??? serious answers only pls thnx!?

Derogatory items are late payments, court judgments, liens, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and any other accounts or items that have not been paid on time that cause your score to go lower.

What does %26quot;derogatory Items%26quot; in your credit report means??? serious answers only pls thnx!?

I need help to understand experian credit report?

got hired as loan rep trainee but supervisor is unwilling to teach

I need help to understand experian credit report?

Hmmm - I%26#039;d go looking for a job elsewhere.

But to answer your question;

The relevant information is the score, the number of accounts past due but still active, the number of unpaid collection accounts, and the ratio of the present debt to the available credit lines.

The score will be most important - as below certain values, your loan company will not be willing to make loans, or will use the score to determine interest rates.

I need help to understand experian credit report?

To begin, if you can%26#039;t get help as a new employee, then you really need to rethink your employment there.

You may want to go to experian%26#039;s website to see if they have a section on how to read the reports or there should be a number on the credit report that you can call and have someone in the customer service department go over it with you and explain it.

You always want to check the following items, how long accts have been open, any late payments or collections, any public records or judgements, what%26#039;s owing, any foreclosures, etc. On collections if there is still a balance outstanding, check the last reported date. If it is greater then 6-12 months ago, have the borrower pay the collection through closing not ahead of time. It will not raise their score by paying it off because it will now reflect a collection being paid at present which will lower their score.

Hope this helps, if you still can%26#039;t get any answers email me and I%26#039;ll be happy to help you.

Where can I get a free credit report w/out having to sign up for free trials and such?

New laws allow for some to receive up to 1 free credit report per year. If you have been turned down for a loan, you can receive a free copy of your credit report. The best thing to do is contact each of the three credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian and Transunion. You should be able to find their address either in your telephone directory or by doing a search on the Internet.

BY FEDERAL LAW, you are entitled to a free report from each of the three Credit Reporting Agencies (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax). You can order all three at once, or spread them out throughout the year, but you can only get one free from each agency once a year. Each report will include all debt reported to that agency, and details on each debt. Your report, however, will not include your FICO Score - which is what most lenders use to determine your credit-worthiness. Most of the agencies will add the score for a small fee for around $5.

There are many scam sites out there, so make sure you go to the only site endorsed by the Federal Trade Commission - doing so will make sure that you get your report free without having to sign up fpr a credit monitoring service.

After Ch 7, what will my credit report and score look like?

Impossible to tell, it depends on how your credit report looks now.

Most people see a drop in score of between 100-150 points, but like I said it depends on how it looks now.

I have actually seen people that their score went up due to all of their debt being wiped out.

If you reaffirm on any accounts like a car or home be sure to call them and make sure they continue to report, this will help your score rebound a lot quicker.

Bankruptcy is not the end of the world, as soon as yours discharges start rebuilding with 2 credit cards, use them for every day things, never exceed 30% of your credit limit in any given month and pay them off in full before the due date.

work with the Credit reporting agencies, its free, make an online dispute for every bill that you have paid off. But they will remain on there for a specified period, you will not be able to remove anything in less time than that as set by the credit agencies.

I am trying to get bills off my credit report when I pay the bills off how do I get them off my report?

Not to worry. When you pay your card off, it will show a zero balance. It has been suggested that you don%26#039;t close an account unless it has not be used for a few years. It counts for you and not against you if you leave it open. That shows that you don%26#039;t use all your credit that is available. However, it is also recommended that if it goes more than a few years, you should close such accounts which I did yesterday. One had no action on it in over 10 years, the store wasn%26#039;t even in the county and they wanted me to keep it open.

The other one wanted me to keep it open with a $200 credit line. Boy did I laugh. The last time I was in the store (Mervyn%26#039;s), they wouldn%26#039;t let me increase my credit line to get my wife a diamond bracelet. I told them that they had just lost a customer. In my pocket I had over $20,000 worth of credit.

Screw them.

I am trying to get bills off my credit report when I pay the bills off how do I get them off my report?

You personally cannot get bad reportings off of your credit report. They remain on there for a certain number of years. The party you owed the money to is the only one who can take it off of the report, as they were the one who filed it.

It is usually a good idea, before you make that last payment, to ask them to take the negative report off your credit record. Get a letter even, stating that you have paid the balance in full. Hopefully the business you owed the money to will take it off of your credit report. But if they do not, you have the right to add a statement to the report that you paid it off, and even send a copy of the letter to the credit reporting agency.

Blessings
