What does this mean on my credit report?

Under %26quot;Transunion%26quot; it says ---

Collection Accounts: 1

Balance: $83.00

Current: 0

Delinquent: 0

Other: 0

that was along with %26quot;installment%26quot; accounts, %26quot;revolving%26quot; accounts, and %26quot;real estate%26quot; accounts... What does this mean?

Looks like there was an $83 balance that was not recorded as being paid and was turned over to a collection agency. That takes it off the books so it does not show up as delinquent anymore. Not good. It is too small for the collection agency to bother calling you so you never know it is there.

I would contact the company from which it came. You may have to do this through the collection agency.

I had this happen for a $33 charge. The company had an old address and I never got the bill. Darn near cost me getting a mortgage. I contacted them and it was pretty easy to straighten out.

It means you have one account in collections for $83. Look further in your report and you should find the creditor.

I%26#039;ll second that about old addresses.

Be careful when you move. I think it%26#039;s best to call all credit companies a couple of times a month for a few months to make sure you received all mail.
