The first poster is correct, if you have lots of really good credit lines then 1 collection will not hurt you that bad 25-50 points.
If on the other hand you only have a few accounts or already have bad credit, it could be as much as 100-125 points.

Hard to say with out looking at you credit reports. depends on how many positive credit lines you have.
